Vietjet reports soaring profits in the first 6 months of 2026

Vietjet emerges strongly in the first half of 2026 with soaring profits and a huge investment of 600 aircraft for its expansion plan until 2030.

Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company, one of the leaders in the commercial aviation sector, achieved strong financial and operating results in the second quarter and first half of 2026. This growth was driven by stable travel demand, the airline’s continued international development and a long-term commitment to an order of more than 600 new generation aircraft, one of the largest orders in the Asia-Pacific region. In addition, Vietjet is building a comprehensive aviation ecosystem including passenger transportation, ground services, air cargo transportation, training, engineering, financial services and technology.

In the second quarter of 2026, Vietjet reported separate revenue of 25,542 billion VND (about 972 million USD) and consolidated revenue of 30,499 billion VND (about 1.16 billion USD), growing by 44% and 71% respectively over the same period last year. Profit after tax of the individual and consolidated results is 204 billion VND (about 7.77 million USD) and 349 billion VND (about 13.3 million USD), respectively.

In the first half of 2026, the company achieved individual revenue of 45,030 billion VND (about 1.71 billion USD) and consolidated revenue of 51,536 billion VND (about 1.96 billion USD), growing by 26% and 44% respectively over the same period last year. This result accounts for 58.5% and 59.4% of the total yearly target.

Individual and consolidated after-tax profits in the first half of 2026 will reach VND 1,126 billion (about USD 42.6 million) and VND 1,372 billion (about USD 52.2 million), respectively, reaching 55.9% and 64.5% of the total yearly target.

As of June 30, 2026, Vietjet’s total assets reached 149,093 billion VND (about 5.68 billion USD). The net debt to equity ratio is maintained at 2.37 times, while the liquidity ratio reaches 1.36 times, both of which are within safe levels for the aviation industry.

Invest in new generation aircraft and integrate artificial intelligence

Vietjet continues to invest in more than 600 Airbus and Boeing aircraft, one of the largest orders in the Asia-Pacific region, to support its international expansion and global network development by 2030.

At the Singapore Air Show 2026, Vietjet and its partners announced the establishment of the Asia-Pacific Aviation Finance Center, an initiative to attract leading financial institutions and aviation companies to Vietnam and strengthen the country’s ambition to become a regional aviation hub.

In addition, Vietjet is integrating artificial intelligence into operations and management through cooperation with international solution providers, including OpenAirlines and Satair, to optimize fuel consumption, improve efficiency and reduce emissions.
