Không ngừng nghỉ, không giới hạn, những nghệ nhân bậc thầy của nhà Hermès tiếp tục làm giới yêu đồng hồ toàn cầu phải xiêu lòng trước tạo tác hoàn toàn mới: Slim Hermès Pégase Paysage – "Ngựa thần biển cả".

Child of the Sea God Poseidon and Medusa – The divine horse Pegasus is considered a symbol of glory when he helps the hero Bellerophon defeat the monster Chimera, and is honored by Zeus by turning into a constellation in the sky. The mysterious and romantic legend and the image of this mythical horse attracted Hermès artisans, urging them to put it on the dial of the Slim Hermès Pégase Paysage.
Launched in 2015, the Slim d’Hermès watch line has gone through many versions and created an impression of beautiful perfection in each version. Not long ago, if the Arceau Temari used the “Snow-setting” technique to manually attach diamonds to the dial in random order to create a pattern of a love-giving globe, now the Pégase Paysage model takes shape thanks to another unique craft technique: wood inlay. The watch’s thin case now compliments a unique dial with a variety of wood tones: from butter yellow to reddish brown – all selected from rare, diverse woods.
Continuing to “take less and describe more”, the iconic horse head appears through contrasting shades of wood placed next to each other, evoking the image of a mythical steed filled with vitality through every sinew and muscle. Or, if you are more imaginative, you can feel the contours of undulating mountains, wide waterways and rolling terraced rice fields – thanks to the interesting cage painting effect.

To create this magical wooden painting, Hermès craftsmen had to start by shrinking the motif into a compact figure that fits inside the 39.5mm dial. They strictly choose the simplest lines to depict the Pegasus horse as well as the contrasting colors between the pieces, and finally choose the appropriate materials to complete the product. With the 39.5mm dial of the Slim Hermès Pégase Paysage, every line must be sophisticated and elaborate, so Hermès chose a blend of Macassar Ebony wood from the Celebes region, black ebony, chestnut wood, yellow pear and arbutus.
Three weeks of work is the time for artisans to cut wood into countless small details to assemble before sanding and polishing. It is this sophistication and sophistication that makes the Slim Hermès Pégase Paysage model only produced in a limited edition of 8 pieces, a number that will certainly make collectors enthusiastic if they want to own one.

Slim Hermès Pégase Paysage watch, limited edition of eight numbered pieces, comes in a 39.5mm white gold case fitted with a matte Havana alligator strap. The slim baton hands are powered by an in-house developed movement, while the dial, case and bracelet are all governed by the rules of Hermès expertise.
