There are journeys that do not begin with a desire to conquer, but with memories and a quiet courage. Only a 45-minute flight from Ho Chi Minh City, Poulo Condor Boutique Resort opens a slow way to relax in Con Dao, where Indochina architectural heritage meets the nature of a national park and the “Unhurried” spirit.

Vong Beach stretches at the foot of Nui Chua, where the sea and Con Dao forest meet.
The place where memories turn into a place of refuge
For the founder of Poulo Condor Boutique Resort, Con Dao was once a land of challenges. He arrived on the island as a soldier and stayed through the years of imprisonment, looking out at the sea and sky of Con Dao from behind the bars of his prison cell. Many years later, he returned, not to bury the past, but to turn the difficult memories into a place of refuge for those who needed a moment of silence.
That spirit is present in every detail, from the villas nestled at the foot of Nui Chua on Vong beach, to the way the team takes care of each day.

Houses with Indochina imprints are preserved as a way to cherish the island’s memory.
“We created Poulo Condor for that moment, when one leans on the porch door and realizes how much one needs this silence,” Poulo Condor Boutique Resort representative shared. “This is not simply a resort, but a place where memories are transformed into belief in revival.”
Con Dao, a once remote island, is now within reach
The pristine beauty of Con Dao, where more than two-thirds of the area is a protected national park.
Located off the southern coast, about 185 km from Vung Tau and about 230 km from Ho Chi Minh City, Con Dao is an archipelago of 16 large and small islands. The place that was once isolated by the sea is now only a 45-minute flight from Ho Chi Minh City or Can Tho.
As a protected national park, Con Dao preserves more than 7,600 hectares of almost intact forest and sea, a refuge for Con Dao black squirrels, dugongs and green turtles. From March to October, the island enters its most beautiful season with calm waters and clear sunshine, the ideal time for a restorative vacation.
Right in front of the resort, Vong beach stretches, and in the distance, visitors can watch planes taking off and landing against the sea and sky, a scene that only Con Dao has. Not far away, Dam Trau Beach is famous for the moment the plane glides close to the water, a stop that many tourists come to to save unforgettable photos.
Indochina heritage in the heart of nature
With 36 suites and villas, Poulo Condor maintains an intimate scale. Indochina architecture, where the magnificence of French style meets Asian serenity, is present through tiled floors, wooden materials, sloping tile roofs and celadon green shutters, all adapted to the tropical climate with deep corridors, high arches and open verandas to welcome the sea breeze.

Inside each room, marble floors, warm wood and natural light tell a story of memories.

Indochina Pool Villa’s private swimming pool and veranda open up to a quiet green space for privacy.
Four room categories, including Junior Suite, Colonial Villa, Indochina Pool Villa and Poulo Condor Pool Villa, are all arranged to let nature enter inside. The morning opens with sunlight on the water, the afternoon passes with the sound of the wind, and the night closes with the island’s very own silence.
Local flavors and experiences
The cuisine at Poulo Condor is centered around the island’s native seafood and seasonal ingredients. Bistro des Iles restaurant serves all day, taking diners through the quintessence of Vietnamese dishes, international dishes and seafood caught of the day, amidst the Indochina space with wooden shutters to catch the wind. The two bars have two separate scenes: La Baie Bar faces the East Sea, where cocktails and glasses of wine accompany the sunset, and La Falaise Bar is located right next to the pool, overlooking both the pool and the lotus pond under the Nui Chua range. At the end of the afternoon, a tea set on the porch closes the most relaxing time.
Outside the dining table, Poulo Condor opens up experiences associated with nature and island culture. Visitors can kayak on the calm lake, swim in the infinity pool facing Nui Chua, or start the day with a sunrise yoga class. For those who want to touch local life, classes on Vietnamese cooking and crepe making, making coconut leaf trumpets, handmade bracelets or painting from dried leaves provide a creative afternoon and a souvenir to take home. Closing, AnYen Spa calms each sense with treatments that balance body, mind and spirit.
