High-end fashion retailer Moncler reported strong revenue growth, largely thanks to expanding its presence in Asia.
Strong performance across the Moncler and Stone Island brands. In the first half of the financial year, revenues for the Moncler and Stone Island brands increased significantly, 9% and 11% respectively. This strong performance for both brands contributed to the group’s total revenue in the first half of the year reaching $1.47 billion and pre-interest profit of $280 million.
Remo Ruffini, Executive Chairman of Moncler, said that the group’s resilience comes not only from its ability to quickly adapt to changes, but also from staying true to its identity and maintaining strong connections with the communities it serves. He said: “During the first half of the year, we achieved steady growth and profitability across both brands, focusing on the products, the brands’ signature creativity and the shared energy we share with customers.”
Moncler’s rapid growth in Asia
Asia has proven to be the fastest growing market for the Moncler Group, currently accounting for 54.4% of total revenue. In contrast, revenue market share in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas decreased.
Mr. Ruffini added that the group continuously looks for innovative ways to stay relevant throughout the year, outside of the peak season. Despite the complex and unpredictable operating environment, he believes these challenging times will test their ability to be sharper and bolder, while remaining disciplined and standing their ground. “We approach the second half of the year and the opportunities ahead in the same spirit and with a clear direction,” he concluded.
