The largest yacht exhibition of the year is still planned to be held on schedule in September this year.
Unlike other exhibitions in Europe that have been canceled simultaneously, Cannes Yachting Festival 2020 still takes place on schedule from September 8 – 13, 2020. The organizers have started selling tickets for 16 Euros if ordered from today.
The fact that Cannes is still holding the exhibition is a surprise to cruise lines as well as yacht fans, in a context where other exhibitions such as Monaco or most recently Southampton have also announced cancellations.
However, whether Cannes 2020 will be canceled at the last moment or not is still a question mark when the Covid – 19 situation in Europe shows no signs of decline and international flights have not yet set a reopening date.
Cannes Yachting Festival is the world’s largest yacht exhibition in terms of scale. Last year the organizers increased the scale of the organization to 16 hectares of water surface with two specialized areas for motorboats and sailboats including Vieux Port and Port Canto.
