Super flagship product Grande 44M from Azimut: New definition of luxury living space

Italian shipyard Azimut has just officially launched the flagship motor yacht Grande 44M at Viareggio, marking an important milestone for the brand when the seventh product of this line has found its owner. This 44-meter-long masterpiece is expected to be completely completed next September, just before its global debut at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Show.

The Grande 44M model has a design philosophy focused on creating spaces that can flexibly adapt to the owner’s lifestyle, daily living habits and entertainment preferences.

Tầng boong thứ tư: Bước ngoặt thay đổi "cuộc chơi"

The inspiration behind this design comes from a simple question: "Điều gì sẽ xảy ra nếu chúng ta giải phóng không gian?".

This fourth deck is where the cockpit is located, completely liberating the technical spaces from the upper deck and turning this area into an absolutely private sanctuary for the owner, with balconies that can be customized to function as a gym, dining area or outdoor relaxation space. The area that was traditionally the cockpit now inherits a large panorama glass window system, which is usually reserved only for navigation purposes.

Smart and smooth green technology

Supporting this groundbreaking design is the Mild Hybrid system, developed through collaboration with Asea Nautica. The system possesses two 50 kW electric motors configured as rotary generators, combined with a 188-kWh battery room (expandable to 230 kWh).

This configuration allows the yacht to anchor without turning on the generator at all, providing 3 to 4 hours of quiet, emission-free operation during the day and 8 to 10 hours at night, completely eliminating both exhaust fumes and noise. The system’s performance is also enhanced by the ability to completely charge the battery pack in just two hours when the vessel is traveling at a speed of 15 knots. This allows the yacht to take advantage of the average travel time between destinations to autonomously restore energy to the hotel load in Zero Emission mode for the next berthing.

In addition to the hybrid system, 30 square meters of solar panels integrated on the fourth deck also provide additional renewable energy to support domestic loads on the ship, helping to minimize the impact on the environment.

Interior space breaks all norms

A striking detail is the use of diagonal walls in the owner’s closed bathroom instead of traditional doors, which helps change the usual perspective and expand the feeling of space. In addition, the two panels on the master bedroom wall are designed to be completely transparent to lengthen the sense of space and allow more natural light to enter.

The stunning highlight on the deck is the blue marble table crafted from Azul Macaubas – a Brazilian quartzite known for its pale blue and purple hues, creating a dramatic focal point.

The flexible bow area serves as the core space and can be flexibly transformed on the ship. This area can become a dining area for 12 people, a private entertainment room equipped with a projector, or a relaxation space for passengers. Large floor-to-ceiling windows open up a 180-degree view of the outdoor lounge at the bow, where there is a cozy campfire area.

At the rear, Grande 44M owns a mezzanine deck – the defining mark of the famous Grande Trideck product line – with a glass bottom swimming pool and beach club area.

In terms of technological innovation, the Grande 44M integrates features focused on sustainable development. This contemporary motor yacht combines Hull Vane foil hydrofoil technology with an extensive carbon fiber structure, accounting for more than 50% of the vessel’s weight, helping to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 30% compared to traditional marine structures of the same size.
