Hermès reported consolidated revenue of $9.45 billion (8.2 billion euros) in the first half of 2026, up 6% at constant exchange rates compared to the same period last year.
Revenue increased 2% at current exchange rates, while recurring operating profit increased slightly to $3.92 billion (3.4 billion euros), or 41% of revenue. Second-quarter revenue came in at $4.73 billion (4.1 billion euros), up 7% at constant exchange rates, reflecting a slight acceleration compared to the first quarter.
In Asia (ex-Japan), revenue increased 2%, driven by continued growth in Greater China and strong performance in Korea.
During the first half of the year, Hermès expanded its presence in the region with the opening of a new store in Hanoi, Vietnam in January and another store in Beijing’s Sanlitun district in April. The company also reopened its Elements stores in Hong Kong and Sogo Fuxing stores in Taipei at the end of April after undergoing renovations and expansions.
In May, Hermès held the traveling exhibition “Hermès in the Making” in Shanghai, showcasing the craftsmanship of its artisans.
Japan recorded 11% growth, with sales accelerating in the second quarter thanks to strong store traffic and continued loyalty from local customers.
The luxury goods retailer also completed a store expansion and renovation at Hilton Plaza East in Osaka in May, before opening a new store in Nagoya in June.
Across the group, all regions recorded growth except the Middle East, where there was a slight decline amid a challenging operating environment. The Americas, Japan and Europe (excluding France) all posted strong growth in both the first and second quarters.
“In the first half of 2026, Hermès achieved positive business results, reflecting the strong attraction of 16 traditional crafts and customer confidence,” Executive Chairman Axel Dumas said. “With confidence in the power of our unique craft model and our ability to control key metrics, we confidently enter the second half of the year.”
