Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) said its July revenue increased 45% year-on-year to NT$467.58 billion (US$14.5 billion), showing that demand for AI hardware continues to grow despite recent market volatility.
On average, analysts expect current-quarter revenue to grow 46.8%, after TSMC said last month it expected full-year revenue to grow more than 40% in dollar terms.
The company also expects to spend between $60 billion and $64 billion on capital expenditures in 2026.
TSMC’s scale makes its monthly sales a broad indicator for the chip industry.
TrendForce said TSMC holds 69.9% of the global chip manufacturing market by 2025, far exceeding Samsung Electronics’ 7.2% market share.
Artificial intelligence (AI) remains a key factor for that growth. High-performance computing products accounted for 57% of TSMC’s wafer sales in the most recently reported quarter, while TrendForce said the company continues to expand its CoWoS advanced packaging capabilities.
TSMC stock is about 5% below its late-June peak but is still up more than 50% this year as investors weigh concerns about overcapacity in data centers and returns on artificial intelligence spending.
