Towards the 100th anniversary of Marilyn Monroe’s birth, the Blancpain brand introduces a new high-end watch collection and recreates the beautiful Art Deco style of the Hollywood legend.

The seven masterpieces in the collection are refreshed versions of the Art Deco style Blancpain that Monroe herself once loved, before returning to the brand in 2016. The new Ladybird Tribute collection retains many of the features of the original version, but Blancpain can’t help but add a little sparkle.
These slim watches are set with 85 diamonds totaling 1,360 carats, including 60 brilliant-cut diamonds and a pair of marquise-cut diamonds adorning the 18K white gold case, 20 brilliant-cut diamonds on the strap, 2 diamonds on the connecting dome details, and 1 brilliant-cut diamond on the clasp. Meanwhile, Monroe’s original watch only had a total of 73 diamonds. Blancpain also brought back the opaline enamel dial, yellow gold hour markers, tapered hands, and Art Deco-style rectangular case from the star’s watch.
The collection is powered by Blancpain’s in-house Caliber 510, a manually wound movement that the company introduced in 2020. Measuring just 2.60 mm thick, the movement consists of 128 parts, offering a power reserve of 52 hours and a frequency of 3 Hz.
Each Ladybird Tribute also has a letter of Monroe’s name engraved on the back cover, further deepening the connection with the legendary star. The watches also come with double-wrap calf leather straps, created in exclusive color tones created by Pantone just for this anniversary. The color palette ranges from a soft peachy pink called Peach Bud, to a vibrant red called High Risk Red, to more neutral tones like Star White and Black Beauty.
