Informa – the organizer of the Monaco superyacht exhibition has just issued an official press release about the cancellation of the 2020 exhibition.
The most awaited yacht show of 2020 has been officially canceled
Exactly one month ago, Informa and the Principality of Monaco announced that the Monaco Yachts Show will continue to take place in September 2020 despite the Covid 19 epidemic. The exhibitor is confident that it will apply safety measures for visitors as well as limit the number of visitors so that this long-standing exhibition continues its 30th year.
But exactly one month later, Informa issued a new press release about postponing the Monaco Yachts Show 2020 and moving it to 2021. This move comes from the objective situation of the epidemic, Covid 19 still shows no signs of cooling down and is at risk of a second wave breaking out in Europe and the US.
Charlie McCurdy, CEO of Informa said:
He further shared:
The official cancellation of the Monaco Yachts Show will affect the Cannes Yachting Festival 2020 – the exhibition taking place exactly 2 weeks before Monaco. Up to this point, there has been no information about the cancellation of the Cannes exhibition, but with the latest moves of the Monaco Yachts Show, the Cannes Yachting Festival will likely not be able to continue in 2020.
