The Chanel Cruise 2021 collection show – designed by Karl Lagerfeld’s successor, Virginie Viard – was originally scheduled to take place in May in Capri, until the Covid-19 epidemic changed everything. Not to be defeated by adversity, Chanel recently brought this show to the electronic platform through a virtual show called Balade en Méditerranée – A walk around the Mediterranean.
Within just 4 weeks of work in May, Virginie Viard launched the finished product, a collection with gentle colors – essential in an increasingly complex and complicated reality. Viard’s designs look very gentle, the colors are mostly dark, dotted with embroidered details that sparkle like a ray of light shining through the night.

“We have had to adapt,” Viard said of social distancing due to the pandemic. “We decided to only use available fabrics (this makes the collection more environmentally friendly), and take fans on a tour of the Mediterranean (not just Capri as planned). Viard did not take inspiration from modern girls like the Kardashian – Jenners, but instead from the legendary stars of the 60s. Images of muses Mica Argañaraz and Camille Hurel in fitted jackets or pants The high-waisted short dress makes viewers unable to help but think of Audrey Hepburn, Brigitte Bardot… The characters in the collection were all photographed by Karim Sadli in Paris.
2- Chanel is always gentle

5- New handbag model with flexible French style design
