Poland is not the first name that comes to mind when talking about the world’s luxury yachting hubs. Yet this European country, with its long shipbuilding history, has risen to become the largest producer of commercial vessels under 39 feet (about 12 meters) in Europe. Many shipyards here have earned their reputation through the exceptional quality of their mid-range motor yachts and sailing yachts, while other brands are pushing straight into the superyacht segment.

Today that concern has completely disappeared. Poland can now finish a yacht from A to Z. Most of the towing-tank testing, interior woodwork and electronics integration are done entirely (in-house). The advantage of this contractor-free production model is a significantly shorter delivery time. For instance, during the Covid-19 pandemic, when Italian and Dutch yards had to halt work waiting for spare parts, Polish boatbuilders kept up an uninterrupted production rhythm.

Galeon 800 FLY

Designed by Tony Castro, the boat’s signature is flexibility: a fold-down balcony expands the main deck at anchor, while the spacious (flybridge), forward lounge, hydraulic swim platform and four-cabin layout create generous social space. Near-360-degree glazing floods the salon with light, and the (owner's suite), spanning the full beam, has its own private staircase. Twin 1,920-hp MTU engines deliver speeds of up to 31 knots.

Sunreef 88 Ultima
After two decades turning catamarans from a niche cruising sailboat into large luxury superyachts, Sunreef is taking a sharper, faster direction with the new Ultima 88. This 88-foot power catamaran has the low, muscular profile of a high-performance (monohull), yet keeps the stability, shallow draft and astonishing interior volume of a (multihull). Sunreef claims the yacht offers up to 387 m² (4,165 sq ft) of living space — a colossal figure for a yacht of this length.

Ace
This is not the newest yacht to come out of Poland, but it is probably the most famous. The Conrad 145, named Ace and created by British designer Reymond Langton, was conceived as a roomy charter vessel with long-range capability. Since her launch in 2002, the yacht has won an unprecedented nine awards. Ace is now a superstar of the charter world, having completed two seasons in the Caribbean and the Mediterranean at rates from $240,000 per week.
Conrad, regarded as one of the world’s leading names in superyachts (both power and sail), decided to develop this 145-foot design into a flexible (semi-custom) line, with two further versions named Extra Time and Moonlight.

Vandal V46
Vandal’s (foiling cat) was born when designer Øino, naval architect Scott Jutson and Tender Works teamed up to design a yacht for themselves. Their brief called for a speed machine with exceptional seakeeping on an ultra-robust platform — think of it as the Land Rover Defender of the ocean, with just enough cabin space for a sunny weekend escape.
Vandal’s unique selling point (USP) is the system of (foils) dưới thân tàu. Sunreef 43M Eco
No surprise that one of Sunreef’s future projects makes this list. The 141-foot 43M Eco will be the largest yacht ever built at the Gdańsk yard. Its gigantic composite hull is produced in a (single-shot vacuum infusion) — a process common on racing yachts and small luxury yachts but extremely rare at this scale. Sunreef asserts this is the world’s largest project of its kind.
The yacht will integrate photovoltaic cells into the hull, superstructure and masts, feeding a battery system that powers both electric propulsion and the hotel load. The 43M Eco’s catamaran platform also promises outstanding living space, accommodation for 12 guests, a vast main-deck salon and generous outdoor areas. A broad aft deck leads down to a beach club, while the yacht can carry (tender)s and water toys for long voyages.
With the hull completed and construction accelerating in Gdańsk, the 43M Eco will be a crucial test of whether Sunreef’s solar-electric technology can scale from luxury catamarans to true superyachts.
Running On Waves
